GLOW UP part 2; motivation

So you have decided to change. To grow, to evolve, work on yourself. I'm so proud of you for that. Proud of me. Proud of us. But change can be a scary thing as it leads us to unknown. But there are ways to overcome that fear of new emotions and new mindsets. My most powerful tool would be motivation.

Motivating yourself isn't that easy, but here are some tips that will hopefully help you.

1. Firstly I would recommend you to write down a list of reasons why have you decided to change. Make them as personal as you want to and put them on a visible spot, so you can reflect on them daily.

2. Search for some quotes and inspiration online.
Here are some to get you started:
  • The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old but on building the new. (Socrates)
  • Don't expect to see a change if you don't make one.
  • You will never be 100% ready to make a change. Don’t wait for the perfect time, it'll never come. Start today.
  • Stop shrinking yourself into places you've outgrown.
3. Follow glow up journals like this one, Alivia D' Andrea's one, and there is a bunch of others out there. I also recommend you follow self-love accounts on Instagram as their kind, loving Instagram stories will surely brighten your day and motivate you.

4. Create a damn good playlist of songs that make you feel on fire :)

5.Tell your family about it. It'll help if you tell your loved ones that you want to glow up and be an overall more positive, happy and loving person. They will support you on your journey and by telling someone you want to change you also make it official. It isn't just a wish anymore, it becomes a reality.

Lots of love, Neža <3

  1. You have some fabulous ideas here. I am creating mindfulness videos that can be found on this site. You can use them too to re-calibrate when you feel like it is all too hard.
