How to stay physically and mentally healthy while in quarantine
We are currently in quarantine which means we don't go to school, we
mustn't hang out, can't visit anyone and obviously travel or do other fun
stuff. It seems like a vacation at first but you get bored quite quickly. So,
how do you stay physically and mentally healthy? Here is a quick little guide,
but I will go into further details in my next posts.
Step
one: Clear your mind
It is
no secret we have a crisis and there is no need for you to make it a bigger of
a deal than it already is. Clear your mind. Stop watching the news- it'll make
you anxious. Go out and enjoy some fresh air, turn your social media off and
relax.
Step
two: be productive
I
don't know about you, but while in quarantine, I have online school. It is hard
sometimes to find the motivation and get started with all the work but we got
this. Remember, all you do will either benefit you or set you back and putting
off with school work definitely won't play in your favour. Obviously, school
work isn't the only productive thing you can do. You can do different arts and
crafts, clean your room or maybe read that book you've been putting off for the
longest time.
Step
three: enjoy yourself
You
have all this time for yourself so watch that movie you've been wanting to
watch, finish that series, listen to music or sing karaoke. Whatever makes your
heart happy.
Step
four: take care of yourself
In
times like this we must stay as healthy as we can, both physically and
mentally. Go out and be active. You can enjoy activities like running, biking
or maybe hiking. It'll clear your mind and soul. If you can't go out, try some
at-home exercises (you can find a bunch on You Tube) and I also highly recommend
yoga.
